Digital camera reviews of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX77 have been mostly positive. Panasonic introduced four high-end compact digital cameras earlier this year, including the stylish Lumix. This camera is especially eye-catching due to its large 3.5" touchscreen. The back of the camera is almost completely filled by the Smart Touch LCD screen, which makes buttons unnecessary.

All of the important camera functions can be placed on the LCD display, and the focusing is done by simply selecting a main focal point on the screen which makes photography much easier. The 12.1 megapixel camera, which is also available in several different colors, comes equipped with a 24mm ultra wide-angle lens with a 5x optical zoom. The lens' wide angle is great for shooting both dynamic landscapes and moving subjects as well.

A Canon digital camera review at the CES 2011 highlighted the announcement of the Canon PowerShot A1200, an entry-level point-and-shoot camera with a real-image zoom viewfinder.

This camera stands out from most other Canon PowerShot models which have done away with optical viewfinders, with the only other exception being the high-end G12. This budget-friendly 12-megapixel compact camera is powered by AA-size batteries, and features a large selection of shooting options. It uses an f2.8 mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 4x zoom, and also captures 720p HD movie clips. The A1200 doesn't offer optical image stabilization, but this deficit can be countered by using the viewfinder. Like most cameras in the lower price range, the A1200 is on the slow side, so it is not the best choice for active motion shots. It also isn't best at higher ISO sensitivities, so low-light photos don't work well without a flash.

The Canon "A" Series digital cameras have earned kudos in digital camera reviews thanks to a winning combination of reasonable prices and dependably excellent image quality, reliable performance and ease of use. The newest camera in the line, the PowerShot A3300 IS continues that winning formula.

This is an easy to use and easy to pocket 16 megapixel digital camera with a 5x zoom 3.0-inch LCD screen and 720p HD video mode. Compact auto-exposure only point-and-shoot makes this camera feature-rich and simple to use. With the arrival of better weather just around the corner, many consumers may be thinking about getting a new camera for upcoming vacations or purchasing one as a graduation gift. Any one of the cameras from the Canon "A" Series would make an ideal choice as a first digital camera or a primary family camera. It would also be useful for travelers who want a small, tough and light camera that can go anywhere.
